The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Sunday stormed Birzeit University in Ramallah and detained seven students, as the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Local sources confirmed that the IOF arrested the students, including a former prisoner, after storming the university and vandalizing property.

Birzeit University condemned the IOF's storming of its campus in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The university confirmed that what happened constitutes a significant and clear violation of all international norms and conventions.

It stressed that they are working on following up on the detained students.
