The Kremlin has responded to Ukraine's claim regarding the death of the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, in a missile attack on the fleet's headquarters in Crimea.

According to the Ukrainian army, the attack resulted in the killing of 34 officers and the injury of 105 Russian soldiers. However, the Kremlin has stated that it has no information regarding the commander's death.

The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously acknowledged the attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters but reported the death of a single soldier.
