The ministry reaffirmed Jordan's solidarity with Iraq during this painful tragedy, extending condolences to the victims' families and wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

The fire was exacerbated by the use of fireworks during the ceremony, causing the ignition of highly flammable Ecobond plastic panels and the release of toxic gases.

Iraqi Civil Defense teams swiftly responded to the accident, but safety violations led to severe consequences, with legal actions taken against those responsible for inadequate safety measures in the area.
