The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued Wednesday a letter of protest to the Israeli Occupation Embassy in Amman following the continued incursions carried out by extremists, settlers, and members of the Israeli Occupation Knesset into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, under the protection of the Israeli Occupation police.

This includes restrictions on the entry of worshipers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and allowing extremists to assault and desecrate Islamic cemeteries surrounding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as escalating attacks on the Christian residents of occupied Jerusalem.

The Ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, stated that these actions are flagrant violations of international law, historical facts, and the legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites. Qudah emphasized that these violations, coupled with ongoing Israeli Occupation incursions into occupied Palestinian territories, pose a significant threat and must be immediately halted.

He called on the Israeli Occupation to cease all actions and violations against the Aqsa Mosque and respect its sanctity. Qudah reiterated that the entire 144-dunum area of the Aqsa Mosque is exclusively a place of worship for Muslims.

The ministry's spokesperson also warned against the continuation of these violations and stressed the importance of respecting the authority of the Jerusalem Endowments Administration, responsible for managing all affairs related to the Aqsa Mosque and regulating entry, under the jurisdiction of the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places.
