A woman in her forties tragically passed away after being stung by a venomous scorpion while she slept.

She was rushed to Al-Karak Government Hospital, according to a close source familiar with the investigation.

The source informed Roya that the scorpion stung the woman while she was asleep, causing her to wake up immediately due to the severe pain she experienced, instilling fear in her.

The woman remained alive for several hours but later succumbed to complications arising from the sting.

The source further stated that her body was transferred to the forensic medicine department for an examination of the cause of death, at the request of the Karak prosecutor.

During the autopsy conducted by a forensic medical committee, it was revealed that the woman suffered from a severe pulmonary embolism resulting from complications of the venomous sting.
