The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced Friday the tragic demise of a Jordanian woman at the hands of her Jordanian husband in the Canadian town of Beaverton in Ontario.

The Director of the Operations Center at the ministry, Sufyan Al-Qudah, said the ministry, in coordination with the Jordanian embassy in Canada, is closely monitoring the incident.

Qudah further disclosed that the Canadian authorities have apprehended the 37-year-old perpetrator.

He emphasized that the Jordanian embassy in Ottawa is collaborating with local authorities in their criminal investigations to ascertain the circumstances of the crime.

Qudah expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the victim's family.
