EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Tel Aviv on Friday.

The EU Commission President and the EU Parliament President Roberta Metsola are visiting Tel Aviv.

Earlier Friday, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin held a meeting with Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Occupation "Defense Miniter" Yoav Gallant in Tel Aviv.

"I know a lot about ISIS. And this is, this is worse than what I saw with ISIS," he said.

"In encountering ISIS I felt as if we were staring evil in the eye -- it was truly evil," said Austin after talks with his Tel Aviv counterpart Yoav Gallant.

"And what we've seen from Hamas, it takes that evil to another level."

Washington, he said, will provide the Israeli Occupation with what it needs to defend itself.

"The United States has Israel's back and that is not negotiable and it never will be," said Austin.

"Democracies like ours are stronger and more secure when we uphold the laws of war," he said.
