US Department of State spokesperson, Matthew Miller, stated that delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip has become a top priority.

He added that Washington is working to protect innocent civilians in Gaza, emphasizing it as one of their key priorities.

Miller pointed out that the US continues to primarily work through the Qatari government to secure the release of hostages. He noted that there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work regarding the captives, expressing gratitude to Qatar for its efforts.

He mentioned that Washington supports Tel Aviv's right to self-defense, and it is important that it complies with the laws of war.
