Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated Saturday that the United States is obstructing the announcement of a ceasefire, revealing its 'true face,' according to the Iranian news agency.

Raisi added that public opinion in Islamic countries is calling for practical measures to stop the ceasefire and lift the blockade on Gaza.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suffered a major defeat despite the full presence of the US in the war in Gaza.

Abdollahian pointed out that Washington is calling for not expanding the scope of the war, confirming that its actions contradict that.

He warned that the widening of the war's scope is "inevitable" in the face of escalation.
