The Center for the Protection and Freedom of Journalists condemned the Israeli Occupation government's decision to suspend the work of Al-Mayadeen Network in occupied Palestine.

They pointed to the deliberate effort to silence the media in Palestine to prevent the world from learning about the atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.

In a press statement, the center stated that the enforced silence on the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people incites the occupation to commit genocide against Palestinians away from the cameras of journalists.

The center emphasized that such oppressive measures, hostile to voices defending Palestinian rights, are not surprising, and they expect them to continue and expand.

Furthermore, the center reiterated its call to all international institutions working to defend press freedom to condemn and expose such actions.

The Israeli Occupation Cabinet issued a decision Monday to ban the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel and confiscate all its equipment in the occupied Palestinian territories.
