Jordanians' interest in Umrah lower than usual due to war on Gaza: Rubin

Bilal Rubin, a representative of Hajj and Umrah companies, stated that Jordanians' interest in performing Umrah is "very modest" due to the Israeli Occupation's war on the Gaza Strip, given the strong connection between the two.

Rubin told Roya Tuesday that the number of pilgrims has reached 35,000 Jordanians since June 19, noting that it is not comparable to the previous year, describing the interest in performing Umrah at that time as "excellent."

According to Rubin, Hajj and Umrah companies have resorted to promotional offers by reducing their prices to encourage Jordanians to perform Umrah.

The travel cost by land is now 190 Jordanian Dinars, down from the previous range of 210 - 220 Dinars. The cost by air has reached 350 Dinars, reduced from the previous 400 Dinars, for quadruple rooms in both cases.
