The United Nations Security Council approved a resolution proposed by Malta Wednesday, calling for a humanitarian pauses in the Gaza Strip.

The resolution, adopted by the Security Council, urges all parties to refrain from depriving civilians in Gaza of services and aid.

The adopted resolution also calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all captives held by Hamas and other factions.
