The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, affirmed the ministry's commitment, through its Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate and the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo, to monitor the situation of Jordanian citizens residing in and present in Gaza.

The ministry is working to facilitate their evacuation to Jordan as quickly as possible.

Qudah explained that the embassy team in Cairo, currently present on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, is coordinating the evacuation of 229 Jordanian citizens who are residents in Gaza.

These individuals, registered with the ministry and granted permission to leave, departed Monday through the Rafah crossing to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The team is receiving them, providing necessary assistance, including medical aid, and ensuring their prompt return to Jordan.

Qudah noted that the current number of Jordanian citizens residing in Gaza and registered with the ministry is 741 individuals.

He reiterated Jordan's commitment to continuing the evacuation of its citizens from the Gaza Strip and urged Jordanian citizens in Gaza to contact the Operations Directorate at the ministry for assistance.
