The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Al-Khalayleh urged mosque imams across Jordan to hold absentee funeral prayer (Salat al-Gha'ib) after Friday prayers for the martyrs of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

This comes as Operation Aqsa Typhoon, launched by Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, continues for its 49th consecutive day in response to Israeli Occupation violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, which have been ongoing for decades.

In retaliation, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has launched a campaign against the Gaza Strip, conducting a series of airstrikes in various areas.
