Hamas, per an official announcment on Telegram, has announced they will release two russian captives in response to Russian president Vladimir Putin's request.

The gesture comes from Putin's efforts in  supporting a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, this marks the second time Russian captives have been released from Gaza by Hamas.

Al-Qassam Brigades had earlier announced the death of three “Israeli captives” due to the Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) bombardment in Gaza. The three dead captives were identified as Shiri Silverman Bipas, Kfir Bipas, and Ariel Bipas.

US President Joe Biden affirmed that he will not stop working until all captives held by Hamas “return home,” he stated in a post on his personal “X” account. He further added that the two-state solution is the only way to ensure long-term security for both the Israeli occupation and Palestine.

Axios reported on Tuesday that the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Burns, and Mossad Chief David Barnea, have participated in discussions in the Qatari capital, Doha, with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani regarding expanding the prisoner exchange deal to include Men and IOF soldiers.
