The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced Tuesday evening the death of a Jordanian citizen in Chicago, Illinois.

The ministry said the Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate, through the Embassy of Jordan in Washington, is following up on the case.

The Director Sufian Al-Qudah clarified that the Embassy is working with the relevant US authorities to investigate the crime and track down the perpetrator who fled.

Qudah explained that the Embassy has initiated the necessary procedures to repatriate the deceased's body to Jordan as soon as possible, as requested by his family.

He expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
