The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Diaa Al-Kahlout, a reporter for Al-Araby Al-Jadeed (The New Arab) channel, along with his brothers, relatives, and other civilians on Al-Souk Street in Beit Lahia.

The Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reporter was among dozens of Palestinian citizens detained by the IOF. The occupation forces forced Gazans to undress, subjected them to strip searches, and humiliated them upon arrest before taking them to an unknown location, according to accounts from locals.

Images and videos have circulated earlier Thursday showing soldiers arresting dozens of Gazans using criminal and demeaning methods.

Hussam Kanafani, the Editor-in-Chief of Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, stated that the IOF deliberately "arrests, targets, and assassinates journalists" with the aim of preventing them from documenting its crimes and massacres in the Gaza Strip.

He added, "We will make every possible effort, in collaboration with institutions and international organizations concerned with the rights and freedom of journalists worldwide, to determine the whereabouts of our colleague Diaa and secure his release as soon as possible."

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Right sstated that it documented the arrest of journalists, doctors, academics, and elderly civilians from refugee centers in northern Gaza after being forced to undress.

The observatory added that the IOF is arresting dozens of Palestinian civilians from UNRWA schools in northern Gaza.

The observatory pointed out that the occupation forces are burning homes in Beit Lahia and killing civilians raising white flags.
