Netanyahu extends condolences to former Chief of Staff over son's death in Gaza

Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences to Gadi Eisenkot, a member of the War Cabinet and former Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Chief of Staff, on the death of his son in the battles in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu stated in a post on the "X" platform ,formerly known as Twitter, Thursday: "Lena and Gadi Eisenkot... Sara and I feel profound sadness over the death of your son Gal."

"Gal was a brave warrior and a true hero... We send our condolences from the depths of our hearts to your family and to the families of all our fallen heroes," he added.

The IOF announced Thursday evening the death of Major (Reserve) Gal Meir Eisenkot, 25 years old, from Hertzliya, a fighter in the 699th Battalion "Hafti Hash," killed in a battle in northern Gaza.

Additionally, Brigadier General (Reserve) Jonathan David Deitch, 34 years old, from Moshav, a fighter in the 6623rd Battalion, was killed in a battle in southern Gaza, and three other soldiers were critically injured.
