Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, issued a statement Thursday through its official channel saying: "During the last 72 hours, Al-Qassam fighters have managed to destroy 135 military vehicles completely or partially on all fronts in the Gaza Strip..."

“They inflicted dozens of casualties among the Zionist soldiers, both killed and injured, by detonating a number of tunnel openings and booby-trapped houses targeting Zionist forces infiltrating positions,” the statement added.

“They engaged with them from point-blank range, using anti-fortification missiles, rockets, anti-personnel mines, and clashed with them. They also targeted military gatherings with mortar shells and short-range rockets, launching intensive rocket barrages towards various targets and distances inside the Zionist entity."

Earlier Thursday, The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced Thursday evening the death of Major (Reserve) Gal Meir Eisenkot, 25 years old, from Hertzliya, a fighter in the 699th Battalion "Hafti Hash," killed in a battle in northern Gaza.

Additionally, Brigadier General (Reserve) Jonathan David Deitch, 34 years old, from Moshav, a fighter in the 6623rd Battalion, was killed in a battle in southern Gaza, and three other soldiers were critically injured.
