The streets of Amman and some governorates are witnessing heavy fog, with almost zero visibility in some areas, coinciding with Jordan being affected by a low-pressure system accompanied by heavy rainfall.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) renewed its warning about the expected weather conditions in the coming hours, due to reduced visibility caused by the formation of fog and the danger of cars sliding on roads that are experiencing rain showers.

The PSD urged caution and alertness while driving, especially on highways, and advised drivers to avoid high speeds.

The Directorate warned of the danger of rising water levels and the formation of floods in low-lying areas in the north and central regions of the kingdom, including the Dead Sea region.

It urged people to stay away from the sides of valleys, areas prone to flooding, and not to risk crossing them, either by vehicles or on foot.
