“Extremely low” temperatures will be recorded in the last week of January, in addition to an increasing chance of being accompanied with extremely cold polar winds near Jordan and the Levant region - per ArabiaWeather’s forecast.

The “usual winter pattern” will return to the region through an increase in the formation of mature winter low-pressure systems.

Despite the low-pressure systems experienced in Jordan, which did not last for long periods, they were not classified as advanced.

There will be a high likelihood of frost waves and a significant drop in temperatures in the last days of January in the Middle East, including Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf countries.

Through computer simulation systems, it is expected that temperatures may be below their normal averages in some areas by at least 5 degrees Celsius at the end of the month.

ArabiaWeather emphasized that there will be a high probability of snowfall.
