The Arabia Weather forecasting website reported the onset of very cold polar currents heading towards Jordan. The momentum of these currents is expected to intensify in the coming hours, leading to a significant decrease in temperatures and the possibility of rainfall in some regions.

Tuesday night, Jordan is anticipated to experience further temperature drops, with chances of scattered rain showers reappearing in parts of the north and center.

Arabia Weather observed the beginning of very cold polar winds flowing from the southeast of the European continent towards Jordan, passing through the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The intensity of these winds is expected to increase during the night and early morning hours on Wednesday.

The weather conditions in the upcoming hours are predicted to differ from the past hours. Rapid temperature drops are expected, turning the weather very cold in most regions of Jordan during the night.

During the night, there's a gradual renewal of chances for scattered rain showers in northern Jordan, accompanied by occasional hail. Shortly after midnight, there might be light snow showers over the mountainous highlands, particularly in the Jerash and Ajloun mountains in the north. These snow showers are expected to be generally light. In the central parts of the Kingdom, precipitation might take the form of freezing rain or a mix of hail and snow due to the influence of polar winds.

Temperatures are expected to drop to zero degrees Celsius or lower over the high southern mountain highlands, resulting in bitterly cold weather with the formation of frost and freezes on roads and in those areas.
