Earlier Monday, both the Democratic and Republican parties in the United States agreed on legislation to support Ukraine and Tel Aviv with USD 60.06 billion to support Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War, USD 14.1 billion to support Tel Aviv's air defense system.

The bill includes a provision that prevents its funds from being directed to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). The Biden administration and other countries have frozen funding for the agency over allegations of involvement by some of its employees in the events of October 7.
