A week ago, Turkish Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç confirmed the start of an investigation into the attack on the Santa Maria Church in Istanbul, indicating ongoing efforts to identify and apprehend the suspects.

The Turkish Ministry of Interior affirmed in a statement that an armed attack by two masked individuals occurred, resulting in the death of one person in the assault on the church in the Sarıyer area.
