United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Egypt on Tuesday as part of his Middle East tour, seeking to broker a ceasefire between Hamas and the Israeli Occupation.

Blinken met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo on Tuesday to hold consultations aimed at reaching a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Starting from Saudi Arabia on Monday, Blinken began his fifth tour of the region since the outbreak of the aggression on Gaza before arriving in Egypt on Tuesday morning.

The US Secretary of State is scheduled to head to Qatar on Tuesday evening, followed by visits to Tel Aviv and the occupied West Bank.
