Numerous key roads in the capital city of Amman are experiencing heavy traffic congestion as public and private sector employees conclude their work hours, following an abrupt government directive for the workday to conclude at 2:00 pm to celebrate the arrival of Jordan's national football team who were crowned as runners-up in the 2023 Asian Cup.

Google Maps displayed several key roads in Amman illuminated in dark red, indicating severe crowding, due to the directive regarding preparations for welcoming back the Nashama team.

Jordanians are gearing up to welcome the national football team and Asian Cup runners-up upon their arrival in Amman, with a grand reception planned to celebrate their historic achievement in the tournament. The team, known as Al-Nashama, is expected to land at Queen Alia International Airport at 5:00 pm.

The Jordanian Football Association has organized a special ceremony at Amman International Stadium at 6:30 pm to honor Al-Nashama. The event will feature various activities to celebrate the national team's success, with gates opening to fans at 5:00 pm.

Tickets for the ceremony will be available for free to supporters of the national team, who can reserve their seats through an online platform. To ensure smooth traffic flow, the Public Security Directorate has announced a traffic plan along the route from the airport to the stadium, aimed at facilitating the movement of citizens attending the celebrations. They urge everyone to adhere to the instructions of security personnel and traffic officers for a safe and enjoyable experience.
