The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has confirmed its commitment to calming tensions between the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) while maintaining its daily activities along the Blue Line.

Andrea Tenenti, Chief of Strategic Communications and Spokesperson for UNIFIL, addressed media reports alleging that UNIFIL had notified the Lebanese army, at the behest of Tel Aviv, that Nabatieh was now within the targeting range.

He emphasized that UNIFIL had no knowledge of any such communication with the Lebanese Armed Forces.

"We frequently engage with our strategic partners in the LAF to address various security and safety concerns along the Blue Line, and these conversations remain confidential," Tenenti stated.

Visitors to the Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, Joseph Aoun, reportedly quoted him as saying, "UNIFIL forces recently informed Lebanon, quoting Tel Aviv, that the city of Nabatieh has become within the targeting range."
