Given the prevailing weather conditions and forecasts that indicate Jordan being affected by unstable weather conditions, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged the necessity to stay away from valleys and areas prone to flash floods, especially in southern regions.

The PSD emphasized the need for caution while driving, particularly as thunderstorm showers are expected, which could be heavy at times according to issued weather forecasts. It pointed out the importance of avoiding areas where water could possibly gather to prevent the risk of falling into them and refraining from attempting to cross them on foot or using vehicles.

Moreover, the Directorate appealed for adhering to safe practices when using heating appliances and ensuring proper ventilation in homes.

It encouraged prompt contact through the unified emergency phone number 911 if necessary.

Temperatures are expected to drop on Wednesday, with weather turning cold in most areas. There's a chance of thunderstorm showers in scattered areas of northern and central Jordan, as well as some areas in the southern and eastern desert regions. These showers may be heavy in narrow geographical ranges and accompanied by hail showers, which could lead to river and stream flow and possibly flash flooding.

Winds are expected to be moderate southwestern, occasionally becoming active.
