Thousands took part Sunday in a massive march in Washington, rallying in front of the United States Congress building to underscore their demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Demonstrators also insisted on preventing a ground invasion of Rafah, while condemning the Israeli Occupation's violations in Gaza. They further urged an end to the targeting of Gaza's healthcare sector.

Meanwhile, despite American appeals for a ceasefire in Gaza, the Biden administration is moving forward with plans to send bombs and other weaponry to Tel Aviv. This decision, as reported by current and former US officials to The Wall Street Journal, indicates a departure from the desired cessation of hostilities.

The proposed shipment includes around 1,000 bombs of the "MK-82" model, along with "KMU-572" kits for precise bomb guidance, and "FMU-139" fuses, according to these officials. The estimated value of this package is in the tens of millions of dollars.

Washington has attached a condition to the provision of precision ammunition to Tel Aviv, a freeze on settlement activity in the West Bank. This stipulation was reported Saturday evening, citing sources in Tel Aviv, by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv.
