Cold temperatures and dense fog envelop several areas in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and various governorates on Monday.

Sweileh, Mecca Street, and Khalda are among the locations affected by the thick fog, reducing horizontal visibility.

This weather phenomenon is attributed to the ongoing impact of a depression affecting Jordan, maintaining cold conditions particularly in mountainous regions while the rest of the country experiences chilly temperatures.

Across Jordan, the cold weather persists with varying intensity of rainfall expected, driven by increased cloud cover moving towards the northern, central, and southern regions, as reported by the regional Arabia Weather website.

Arabia Weather also issued warnings concerning reduced horizontal visibility, particularly in elevated areas, due to fog formation and low-lying clouds reaching the earth's surface.

The Public Security Directorate reiterated its caution regarding the hazards of decreased visibility caused by fog.
