Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, refuted claims regarding the existence of a land border crossing for transporting goods from Jordan to the Israeli Occupation, particularly amid the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for the past 142 days.

Khasawneh voiced his stance, stating, "I will not remain silent in the face of claims that fabricate stories, attempting to misrepresent our positions with unfounded tales. There is no truth to the notion of a land bridge, and such allegations only serve to cast unwarranted aspersions."

His remarks were made during an inaugural address at the Prime Ministry, focusing on economic performance and challenges, as part of the initial sessions of the interactive meeting on the Executive Program for Economic Reform Vision titled "Between Two Years."

Highlighting Jordan's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Khasawneh underscored the continuous provision of Jordanian aid to the Gaza Strip.

He reaffirmed Jordan's unequivocal stance, both officially and among the populace, condemning the atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank, and decrying the unilateral actions of the Israeli Occupation that contravene humanitarian principles and international law.

Khasawneh emphasized that no other nation has backed the Palestinian cause as steadfastly as Jordan, particularly under the leadership of His Majesty the King, who spearheads relentless political and diplomatic endeavors to halt the brutal aggression and ensure sustainable humanitarian assistance.

"Those who cast doubt on our official and popular stance against the war on Gaza are misguided," he stated.

Furthermore, he acknowledged that the Israeli Occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip had adverse effects on economic indicators in the final quarter of 2023.
