King Abdullah II met with Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maria Gabriel at Al-Husseiniya Palace on Sunday to discuss efforts towards an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

They addressed the concerning situation in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention to alleviate humanitarian suffering. The King reiterated the call to halt the conflict in Gaza, protect civilians, and ensure sustained humanitarian aid delivery.

He also highlighted the importance of continued support for UNRWA and expressed concerns about Israeli Occupation actions in Rafah. Emphasizing the importance of a two-state solution, the King emphasized the need for a political resolution to achieve lasting peace.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi and Dr. Jaafar Hassan, Director of the King’s Office.
