Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, speaking at the United Nations Human Rights Council's high-level session in Geneva, emphasized the denial of basic rights to Palestinian infants by the Israeli Occupation.

He highlighted the right to milk, safety in schools, and the overall right to life, freedom, and statehood, which are consistently denied by the occupation.

Al-Safadi underscored the suffering of Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem under occupation, where freedom of worship and movement are besieged and violated. He noted that fundamental human rights such as education, work, security, fair trials, and property ownership are routinely prohibited by the occupation.

The minister condemned Israeli Occupation's aggressive actions in Gaza, resulting in the destruction of homes, schools, and hospitals, leaving innocent civilians displaced and vulnerable. He lamented the destruction of historic places of worship by Israeli Occupation's bombings, highlighting the injustice faced by Palestinians.

Al-Safadi urged international accountability for the occupation's violations, calling for condemnation of its crimes and enforcement of international law against Israeli Occupation authorities who deny Palestinians their right to self-determination. He reiterated Jordan's commitment to engaging with human rights mechanisms and addressing legislative gaps to uphold human rights and freedoms for all segments of society.
