US President Joe Biden stated that he hopes there will be a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by next Monday - February 4.

During a visit to New York on Monday, Biden expressed his hope for implementing the ceasefire by March 4th.

“Well I hope by the beginning of the weekend, I mean, the end of the weekend,” Biden said when asked when a ceasefire might take place in the Gaza Strip, during an appearance at an ice cream shop in New York.

“My national security adviser tells me that we’re close. We’re close, it’s not done yet. And my hope is that by next Monday we’ll have a ceasefire,” Biden added.
