Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi affirmed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip cannot tolerate any further delays in reaching decisive solutions for a cease-fire.

During his meeting with a delegation from the British House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday, Sisi emphasized the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in protecting Palestinians from the humanitarian catastrophe they face in the Gaza Strip.

El-Sisi also highlighted Egypt's role in mobilizing and delivering relief aid through the Rafah border crossing, as well as air drops of aid to areas heavily affected by the conflict in northern Gaza.

He stressed that the permanent and just solution to tensions in the Middle East lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with international resolutions.
