The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a pro-Iran militant group, stated that it targeted an “Israeli” airbase using drones in response to the aggression being carried out against the Gaza Strip.

Palmachim Airbase was the target of the attack, which is stationed 12 kilometers south of Tel Aviv’s metropolitan area - Gush Dan.

The statement from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq reads as follows:

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“Fight them. Allah will chastise them by your hands and will bring disgrace and degradation upon them and succor you against them and soothe the hearts of many believers.” (Quran 9:14)

“The mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted, using drones, the Zionist Palmachim Airbase in the heart of the occupying entity on Thursday morning, March 14, 2024. We affirm the continuation and intensification of our operations during the blessed month of Ramadan to strike at the enemies' strongholds, as part of the second phase of the resistance operations, in support of our people in Gaza and in response to the Zionist massacres against innocent Palestinian civilians.

"And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." (Quran 3:126)
