The Russian Federal Security Service revealed on Friday evening the arrest of three individuals from a Central Asian country who were plotting a bomb attack in southern Russia, following a deadly concert hall bombing near Moscow a week prior.

The security agency foiled the plan, seizing materials for making an explosive device from the suspects' residences in the Stavropol region.

Additionally, Tajikistan's State Security Service apprehended nine individuals suspected of having links to the Moscow concert hall attackers, with Russian authorities also participating in the arrests.

This development comes after the concert hall bombing, which claimed 144 lives and left 360 injured, with the Daesh terrorist group claiming responsibility, though Russian officials allege Ukrainian involvement.

Following the attack, 12 individuals, including four Tajik nationals believed to be involved, were detained.
