The trilateral ministerial meeting hosted by Egypt on Saturday has commenced - according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The tripartite meeting includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

The ministerial meeting aims to discuss developments in Gaza, efforts to halt the war, ensure the protection of civilians, deliver humanitarian aid, and developments related to the Palestinian issue.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated that there has been an agreement on a ceasefire and halting the use of starvation as a weapon against Palestinians, stressing the necessity of delivering aid to the Gaza Strip.

Safadi emphasized that it is incumbent upon the ISraeli occupation to open borders and land crossings to deliver aid to Gaza, reiterating the imperative to halt the supply of weapons to “Israel”.

Regarding the violations in the West Bank, Safadi said that the situation in the West Bank is “boiling” and reflects a systematic policy of the occupation to kill any political horizon for achieving peace.

"We want a genuine international movement and imposition of sanctions on Tel Aviv to stop its aggression against Gaza,” he continued.

Safadi also stressed the importance of continuing to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to ensure the provision of aid to Palestinians.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry also affirmed his country's unequivocal rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their land or the “elimination” of the Palestinian cause.
