The Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator at the United Nations, Martin Griffiths, has announced his intention to step down from his post today, Saturday, in a post on his “X” account - previously known as Twitter.
This decision comes hours after he criticized “Israel’s” decision to prevent aid delivery and urging them to lift all impediments on aid to the Strip.
“After 3 years on the job, I have informed [Antonio Guterres] of my intention to step down in June,” Griffiths said, “to everyone at [OCHA], it's been the privilege of my life. I am deeply in your debt.”
