The Jordanian government has denied reports of a declaration of a state of emergency across the country; hours after Iran launched an airborne attack against “Israel” - said the Minister of Government Communications Muhannad Al Mubaidin.

Dr. Muhannad Al-Mubaideen, the Minister of Government Communications and the official government spokesperson, refuted claims of a state of emergency being declared in Jordan.

He emphasized in a statement to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that reports circulating in some media outlets regarding such a declaration are entirely false.

Al-Mubaideen stressed the importance of media accuracy, cautioning against the dissemination of unfounded rumors or allegations.

He warned of legal consequences for those spreading misinformation lacking factual basis.

Al-Mubaideen highlighted the prevalence of baseless news on various platforms and applications, reassuring citizens that life continues normally without cause for concern.

Furthermore, he disclosed that authorities opted to close airspace to air traffic as a precautionary measure due to surrounding security conditions.
