Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) has decided to extend the airspace closure until 8 AM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) - 11 AM local time.

The CRAC announced earlier that, in order to safeguard the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace, and in light of the escalating risks in the region, and following a risk assessment conducted according to internationally recognized standards, it has decided to temporarily close Jordanian airspace as a precautionary measure to all incoming, outgoing, and transiting flights starting from 20:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is 11:00 PM local time, for several hours to come.

This decision will be continuously reviewed and updated according to developments - the statement added.
