Social media users circulated a news item attributed to the Israeli Occupation army radio, claiming that reports indicate permission for children under 14 and women to return to the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.

In a statement, Israeli Occupation army spokesperson Avichay Adraee dismissed the circulating rumors about allowing Palestinian residents to return to the northern Gaza area as unfounded.

Adraee further emphasized that the army does not permit the return of residents neither through Salah al-Din nor through Rashid Street.

Earlier, Hebrew Channel 12 reported that the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, informed mediators that it is not interested in further discussions unless the following four issues, which it deems necessary, are resolved.

Hamas insisted on its demands, including a clear declaration of a permanent ceasefire throughout the entire Gaza Strip, complete withdrawal of Israeli Occupation Forces from the entire Gaza Strip, initiation of a comprehensive assistance process with the return of all displaced persons to their homes in northern Gaza, including without conditions, removal of rubble, provision of temporary housing for displaced persons, and completion of the exchange deal in stages.

The Israeli Occupation channel noted that the American proposal presented in Cairo included the presence of Egyptian forces to inspect the Nahal Oz axis to ensure the continuity of the mechanism for the return of displaced persons to northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing sources in Tel Aviv, that Hamas has begun to strengthen its control over Khan Yunis after the withdrawal of the occupation army from it.
