His Majesty King Abdullah II received a call from Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, which covered the recent regional escalation - per the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC).

His Majesty warned of the region spiraling into new cycles of violence that threaten international peace and security.

His Majesty emphasized the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, protecting civilians, and intensifying the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the region through all available means.

His Majesty warned against the dangers of the violent actions perpetrated by extremist “Israeli” settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank, as well as the violations against Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.

His Majesty reiterated the importance of finding a political horizon to end the “Israeli”-Palestinian conflict, commending Italy's supportive stance toward peace efforts based on a two-state solution.
