The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, Major Mahmoud Basal, revealed that approximately 2,000 Palestinians have gone missing following the withdrawal of Israeli Occupation Forces from multiple areas in the Strip.

Basal stated that over 150 bodies of deceased individuals were found and around 500 people were reported missing in the aftermath of the Khan Yunis massacre following the withdrawal of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

He expressed deep concern regarding the fate of these missing individuals from Gaza, as their whereabouts are unknown, leaving uncertainty about whether they are detained or buried in unmarked graves.

Basal highlighted that the Israeli Occupation employs forced disappearance as part of a systematic strategy, often bulldozing bodies and burying them before retreating from Gaza.

He further confirmed that many of the deceased were found naked, with their identities marked as "unknown" by the occupation, raising concerns about the use of new and previously unseen weapons.

Basal concluded by urging international institutions to investigate these serious violations and to identify the types of weapons used in these attacks.
