His Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, the President of the Jordanian Football Association, expressed concerns about Palestine's situation, emphasizing FIFA's responsibility in upholding human rights. In a tweet on his official account, he stated, "As we approach FIFA Congress 2024, we strive as always for justice, humanity and to stand on the right side of history."

Prince Ali emphasized the importance of safeguarding the rights of young athletes, a fundamental principle of football that he has always championed. However, he highlighted that the events in Palestine pose a challenge to FIFA's commitment to human rights.

At the upcoming FIFA General Assembly in Bangkok on May 17, the Palestinian Football Association will propose removing Israeli Occupation from FIFA membership due to its actions against Palestinians in Gaza, including athletes, since October 2023.

Prince Ali has been actively calling for international action to stop the Israeli Occupation aggression in Gaza, urging the football community to support sanctioning Israeli Occupation and applying international standards. He has garnered support from Arab and international federations.

The Jordanian Football Association strongly supports the Palestinian cause and has been advocating for sanctioning Israeli Occupation from FIFA. At the upcoming Congress, the Palestinian request will highlight the occupation's violations against athletes and civilians, including targeted attacks on players, referees, and coaches, as well as the destruction of stadiums.

Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association, plans to present a resolution at the FIFA Congress to hold Israeli Occupation accountable for its violations against Palestinian sports during the ongoing aggression in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
