Tourism income in Jordan witnessed a decline during April 2024 by 2.6 percent compared to the same month in 2023, reaching JOD 375.2 million (USD 529.2 million).
According to the latest data from the Central Bank, tourism income during the first four months of the current year decreased by 4.9 percent to reach JOD 1.5 billion (USD 2.1 billion).
Preliminary data from the Central Bank indicated an improvement in remittances from expatriate workers during March 2024 by 3.4 percent compared to the corresponding month in 2023, amounting to USD 269.3 million.
During the first quarter of 2024, remittances from expatriate workers increased by 4.2 percent to reach USD 863.0 million, compared to USD 828.2 million during the same period in 2023.
