“The exercise activities included an aerial loading of the HIMARS launcher with a C-130 aircraft, in addition to supplying the participating launcher with live ammunition by air using a Black Hawk aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force,” the JAF said.

“The exercise also included loading the launcher with live ammunition and transporting it to King Faisal Air Base (Al-Jafr) via a C130 aircraft to carry out live missile shooting.

“In the same context, the Chemical Support Platoon attached to the Royal Jordanian Navy and Royal Boats Command, in partnership with the friendly American side, carried out an exercise simulating the spill of Ethylene Chloride from one of the tanks during the loading and unloading process, which is considered a dangerous and toxic substance, in addition to demonstrating how to deal with injuries, evacuate them, and decontaminate the site after the accident.

“Several senior Jordanian military officers as well as representatives from other nations taking part in the Eager Lion 2024 exercise attended the exercise.”
