On the sidelines of the funeral of the late President Ebrahim Raisi in Iran, a meeting was held on Thursday, between the Chief Political Leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh; the Deputy Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Mohammad Al-Hindi; commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami; and the Commander of the Quds Force, Esmail Qaani; representatives from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Hezbollah, and the Houthi movement.

Iranian media outlets reported that the attendees discussed the latest developments in the region and affirmed the escalation of the fight "until victory in the Gaza Strip."

During the meeting, the participants discussed the latest political, social, and military situations in Gaza, including Operation Al-Aqsa Typhoon and the role of the resistance front. They emphasized the continuation of the fight and struggle until the full victory of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, with the participation of all factions and fronts of the resistance in the region.

Additionally, Iranian sources indicated that the Iraqi resistance also participated in the meeting of factions with the leadership of the Revolutionary Guard and the Quds Force.

Iran's Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, also met with leaders of Palestinian factions on the sidelines of the funeral, stressing that his country would continue all efforts to defend the Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance until the end of the aggression. Adding that Iran's policy of reaching out to the region is a fundamental principle in its strategy, declaring its continuity.
