Strategic expert Hassan Al-Daja remarked that since its founding by King Abdullah I, Jordan has faced significant challenges due to its geographical location, which persist to this day.

In an interview on Roya, Al-Daja highlighted that these challenges began with the Balfour Declaration and the attempt to establish a Jewish homeland in the East and West Banks.

King Abdullah I, with the support of Jordanians and the Arab liberation forces, successfully secured the emirate's independence despite the Balfour Declaration's implications.

Al-Daja emphasized that Jordan navigated the tumultuous period of the Arab Spring, which destabilized many regional governments, including those in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Iraq.

He explained that through the astute political leadership of its rulers, Jordan managed to overcome these challenges.

Unlike other countries that resorted to force against Arab Spring protesters, Jordan addressed the protests with soft power and strategic caution, he added.
