Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi noted "a positive change in European positions towards the aggression and the necessity of taking effective action to resolve the conflict comprehensively. The challenge now is to translate these positions into actions."

Safadi added on Monday, ahead of the convening of the Arab Islamic Ministerial Committee with the Council of Ministers of the European Union, that "yesterday's brutal attack on displaced Palestinianpeople in tents that Israel previously declared to be safe areas, resulted in the martyrdom of more than 40 people from Gaza."

Safadi emphasized that the conflict did not start since October 7, 2023, there is a historical context, and there are measures that the Israeli Occupation has been taking for decades, killing all chances of achieving peace.

"We, members of the Arab Islamic Ministerial Committee, will now meet with the Council of Ministers of the European Union as a continuation of our targeted effort to crystallize a common position that begins with stopping the ongoing brutal aggression against our people in Gaza, stopping the use of starvation as a weapon, and putting us on a clear and consistent path to resolve the conflict on the basis of a two-state solution because there is no way to achieve security and peace except through it."
